Housing - Roommate Matching

Thank you for visiting the Roommate Matching site!

Once you have been accepted to Michigan Tech, and if you are a domestic student, you will receive an Action Packet from the Admissions office that contains your Residence Hall Application and Contract. If you are an international student, you will receive a Welcome Booklet from the International Programs and Services office that contains a link to complete your Residence Hall application and contract. (If you have misplaced these forms you can find them on them here).

Once Housing & Residential Life has received your completed residence hall application and contract, an acknowledgement email will be sent to your HuskyMail. This email will let you know that you are now eligible to enter the Roommate Matching Program through your Husky Hub at www.huskyhub.mtu.edu.

The Roommate Matching Program allows you to request a roommate you already know or use the matching portion of the program where you enter information about yourself to search for the “best” match. Roommate matches must be mutually requested by June 1, 2008 (May 1, 2008 for Learning Community participants).

Please note that you have chosen residence hall preferences on your Residence Hall Application; this preference can not be guaranteed at this time due to possible space constraints. Assignments are determined by priority date, which is the date we received your completed residence hall application and contract. It is also to your advantage to use the Roommate Matching Program, as students who have found a roommate match are placed prior to those that do not have a roommate request. If you choose not to use the Roommate Matching Program, not a problem, we will assign you a roommate.
